Franklin & Marshall College's Office of College Advancement, the Ware Institute for Civic Engagement, and Habitat for Humanity team leader Tricia Vos ’94 invite F&M alumni and current students to participate in a week-long Habitat for Humanity immersive service project in Asheville, N.C., July 28 – Aug. 4, 2018. Connect with fellow alumni and current students through service to others while helping build a home for a local family who has been selected and vetted by the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate. Tricia will serve as the group’s Habitat trip leader and will help coordinate logistics before and during the actual week.

下载瑞彩祥云快3join a mixture of alumni and students in participating in this distinctively f&m collaborative effort to give back in a meaningful way. the college anticipates that participants will represent a blend of 10 -13 alumni and students. while no prior construction knowledge or experience is required, participants will receive the proper safety and equipment training and will be expected do what some may consider to be physically demanding work on an active construction site. a minimum number of 10 participants is required; the group maximum may be set at as many as 13 depending on the final sleeping accommodations. accompanying the group will be one staff member from office of alumni relations and one staff member from the ware institute for civic engagement.
The group will stay in a two-story building located on the grounds of a local YMCA camp. The house, which will only be used by the F&M group, will include a mix of room accommodations with shared bathrooms.

all participants can travel to asheville via college-sponsored vans or may make their own arrangements. daily local travel to/from the project site will be provided.
group breakfast, lunch and most dinners will be hosted on site in the camp or at the work site and are all included in the per person cost. each registration fee includes two group dinners in the town of asheville. any alcohol purchases by those 21 or older are not included and are costs incurred by the participant.
Trip Fees and Registration
the total cost for each alumnus or alumna to participate in the f&m habitat for humanity trip to asheville, n.c., is $1,650 per person. a $500 nonrefundable deposit is required at the time of registration with the remaining balance due by sunday, may 27, 2018.
total cost includes donations to asheville area habitat for humanity and habitat for humanity international (hfhi); meals; accommodations; local transportation; predetermined cultural activities; health, accident, emergency evacuation insurance; and team coordination from hfhi and the host program.
下载瑞彩祥云快3the trip cost does not include airfare, r&r activities, or visa & exit fees (where applicable). please note that participants arriving earlier or staying later than the designated trips dates are responsible for their own transport, hotel arrangements and payments. should the trip be cancelled by f&m and/or habitat for humanity, all monies will be refunded. participants who cancel before final payment will forfeit their full deposit.
